Key Responsibilities
As a veterinarian, your main responsibilities will include the following tasks:
- Diagnose diseases and abnormal conditions in individual animals through physical examinations and laboratory testing.
- Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medications, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
- Vaccinate animals to prevent and control diseases.
- Advise pet owners on feeding, housing, breeding, hygiene, behaviour, and overall animal care.
- Provide veterinary services including dentistry, obstetrics, and euthanasia when required.
- Oversee the daily operation of the veterinary clinic and ensure high standards of patient care.
- Supervise and support 1 to 2 team members.
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans.
- Follow veterinary best practices, clinic protocols, and health regulations.
- Deliver compassionate care while ensuring excellent client service.
